How to Propagate Calla Lily

1. Division method

1. Time selection: It is best to choose September, which can be combined with repotting.

2. Preparation of flower soil and flower pots: You can buy special targeted soil, or you can prepare it yourself. It can be made by mixing garden soil, leaf mold and base fertilizer. You can prepare several flower pots, preferably of different sizes.

3. To carry out division: prepare a sharp knife and it is best to disinfect it before use. Take the plant out of the pot, shake off the soil at the roots, and then you can divide it. Don't divide it into too many parts, two to four pieces will be enough. After that, apply some wood ash on the cut. Plant each section into a pot according to the size.

4. Subsequent maintenance: First place it in a semi-shaded place, without strong light. Keep the soil moist. After germination, normal maintenance can be carried out.

2. Seeding method

1. Time selection: This method is not commonly used because it has high temperature requirements. The temperature needs to be around 20℃. Moreover, its possibility of success is lower than the first one.

2. Seeds and flower soil: Choose healthier seeds. The preparation method of flower soil is basically the same as that of the division method.

3. Sowing and maintenance: Sow the seeds into the soil and cover with a thin layer of soil. After that, place it in semi-shade and wait for it to sprout.
