How to promote root growth of Calla Lily

How to promote root growth of Calla Lily

1. Specific methods of root promotion

There are generally three methods to promote root growth. These three methods are widely used.

1. Water immersion method: As the name suggests, it is a method of soaking in water. This method is relatively simple and easy to operate. Place the cuttings in water and keep them soaked for twelve to twenty-four hours. Note that the water needs to be changed during this period. Also, you have to pay attention to the water quality. It cannot be freshly tap water, but tap water that has been allowed to stand.

2. Growth regulators: You can also use some growth regulators to promote root growth. This method is effective and works quickly.

3. Hotbed rooting method: There are many methods that can be used, such as some rooting powder, indoleacetic acid, etc. Mix them with water to make a solution, then soak or dip the cuttings in it. Compared with the immersion method, this treatment method takes less time, is faster, and has better results.

2. Other matters needing attention

In addition to the above-mentioned rooting methods, there are other factors that can affect rooting. Calla lily can be grown in soil or hydroponically. When growing in soil, pay attention to the quality of the substrate. Use breathable, well-drained, loose soil. It can be made of leaf mold, peat soil, and perlite. If it is hydroponics, the water quality will also have a certain impact on rooting. Do not use tap water directly. Instead, expose it to sunlight or let it sit for a while before use.
