Why do white anthurium flowers turn green?

Why do white anthurium flowers turn green?

1. Natural Phenomenon

The flowers of Anthurium are white at first, then gradually turn green, and finally become the same color as the stems and leaves. The originally yellow spadix will also turn black. These are all natural phenomena of flower metabolism. There is no need to be too surprised. Even if it turns green, it is still ornamental.

2. The light is too weak

If the spathe of anthurium turns green just a few days after it opens, it is not a normal natural phenomenon. This is caused by weak light. All white flowers will turn green when the light is weak. You can increase the light, or apply an appropriate amount of fertilizer to supplement nutrients. When enough nutrients are accumulated and there is sufficient light, the color will change back.
