There are several types of crabapple

1. Western Begonia

The crabapple tree is named after it grows in Xifu. It is drought-resistant, cold-resistant, but not waterlogged. It is suitable for growing in the north, so it is widely planted in northern areas such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Gansu.

2. Begonia

The pedicels of the Chinese hawthorn are very short or even non-existent, and most of its flowers are directly attached to the branches, hence the name Chinese hawthorn. It has strong adaptability and can be planted anywhere, but it is more commonly planted in the south because it likes sunshine. The south has sufficient sunshine and suitable temperature, which is more suitable for its growth.

3. Weeping Begonia

The flower stalks of the weeping crabapple are thin and long, and point downward, which is how it got its name. It likes sunshine, is not cold-resistant or drought-resistant, and is suitable for planting in the south. Planting in the north requires controlling the temperature to avoid frostbite in winter.

4. Hubei Begonia

The Hubei crabapple grows very well, and mature plants can grow to eight meters in height. It has the characteristics of all ornamental plants: drought and cold resistance, waterlogging resistance, and a certain degree of defense against diseases and pests. So it can be planted anywhere. Because its origin is Yichang, Hubei and other places, it is named Hubei Begonia.

5. Papaya Begonia

The papaya begonia is cold-resistant and drought-resistant. As an ornamental plant, it is easy to grow and can withstand temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius. However, it is afraid of waterlogging, so you must pay attention to the amount when watering and do not let water accumulate in the soil.
