Is ivy cultivated in soil or water?

Is ivy cultivated in soil or water?

1. Both soil and hydroponics are acceptable

Ivy can be grown in soil or hydroponically. The two cultivation methods are different, and the plants grown have different characteristics. Generally, plants grown in soil grow taller, more lush, and stronger, while plants grown in water grow smaller, more delicate, and more ornamental.

2. Soil culture method

1. Flower soil: It does not have high requirements for flower soil. Most flower soils except alkaline soil can meet its growth requirements. However, it is more recommended to use breathable and rich flower soil to grow it, which can make it grow better.

2. Water: It likes moisture, so you should pay more attention to the condition of the flower soil and water it in time. Do not let the soil dry out.

3. Fertilization: Apply flower fertilizer every 15 days during the growing season, and reduce fertilization in summer and winter.

3. Hydroponic culture method

1. Water quality: You can use purified water to raise it, or you can use tap water that has been left out for more than 24 hours.

2. Change water: It is best to change the water frequently. When you see impurities in the water, replace it in time.

3. Nutrient solution: Apply nutrient solution every 10 days during the growing period, which can be combined with water changes. Note that the nutrient solution needs to be diluted in advance before application and cannot be applied directly, otherwise it may cause damage to the plant's root system.
