How to grow green radish

How to grow green radish

1. Potting soil

There are many choices for growing green radish pots. You can use ceramic pots, clay pots or plastic pots. The soil should have strong air permeability and drainage to avoid water accumulation in the pot soil. Cultivation can be done by mixing leaf mold, garden soil, river sand and perlite.

2. Water

Green ivy is suitable for growing in a humid environment. The soil should be kept slightly moist and there should be no excess water in the flowerpot. Depending on the situation, you can water it once every 2-3 days in spring and autumn; water it every day or once in the morning and evening in summer, and spray water on the leaves at any time to increase the humidity; water it once every 3-5 days in winter, and the water temperature should be similar to the room temperature, otherwise it will be frozen.

3. Lighting

It is best to expose it to scattered light during normal breeding, and avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight. It should be placed in a well-ventilated place for maintenance. If the light is not good when growing indoors, expose it to the sun every 10 days or so. Otherwise, it will grow poorly if grown in a dark place for a long time. If you grow it outdoors, provide shade, especially in the summer, and avoid direct sunlight.

4. Fertilization

Organic fertilizer is usually used to fertilize green radish. More fertilizer should be applied during the growing season, and topdressing is generally based on nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Do not fertilize it in winter. Normally, apply fertilizer in small amounts and frequently. If too much fertilizer is applied at one time, the roots will burn.
