How to water Milan

How to water Milan

1. How to water

Milan has relatively high requirements for water, so it is necessary to ensure that there is sufficient water. When watering, keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, and do not water too much or too little. It is best to use tap water that has been left for a day or two for watering, or clean surface water can also be used for watering. Pay attention to the water quality when watering, and choose slightly acidic water or neutral water.

If it is being maintained in the northern region, the pH value of the water needs to be adjusted when watering so that the acidity and alkalinity meet its requirements, otherwise yellowing will occur. Generally speaking, if it is raised outdoors, it needs to be watered every day in summer, once a day, and sometimes once in the morning and once in the evening; the frequency of watering indoors should be greatly extended because its evaporation will be reduced.

2. Watering time

In summer, it is best to water in the morning and evening. Watering in the early morning or evening is when the temperature is lower, and the water temperature, air temperature, and potting soil temperature are relatively close, which is conducive to the growth of Milan. In winter, especially in the north, it is best to water after 10 noon and before 3 pm. The overall basic principle is to water when the soil temperature, water temperature and air temperature are similar. It likes an environment with high humidity, so mist the leaves frequently with a sprayer.
