How to cultivate the fortune tree

How to cultivate the fortune tree

1. Soil suitability

When growing money trees, you should prepare fertile and loose soil. Do not use heavy and poorly drained soil. If the amount of water is large and the soil in the pot has poor drainage, the roots of the plant will be in water for a long time, which will easily cause root rot, which is very detrimental to its growth.

2. Suitable temperature

The temperature suitable for its growth must be controlled well, and it should be given a growth environment of around 20℃. If you usually grow it outdoors, when the temperature is high or the light is strong, you need to place it in a slightly cool environment. If it is grown indoors, it needs proper ventilation and appropriate light, and should not be exposed to strong sunlight for a long time.

3. Reasonable watering

The money tree needs sufficient water during its growth period, especially in summer, and needs to be watered in time to replenish water. The leaves can be sprayed with water frequently. However, it is also drought-tolerant and can survive without watering for a short period of time. Normally, the amount of watering should not be too large, and there should be no accumulation of water in the potting soil. If you grow it outdoors, be sure to shelter it from rain.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

The money tree is very prone to diseases and pests. When you find that the plant is damaged by diseases and pests, you should buy the appropriate pesticides in time to spray it, and trim off the diseased branches and leaves. During daily maintenance, more nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be applied appropriately, which can have a certain preventive effect.
