How to manage Kalanchoe after cutting

How to manage Kalanchoe after cutting

1. Insulation

After cutting the Kalanchoe, in order to promote the germination of its new roots, it will survive as soon as possible. First of all, the environment for cuttings must maintain the temperature between 15-24℃, which is the fastest growing time.

2. Moisturizing

In order to prevent the Kalanchoe from withering, it has fleshy stems and leaves. Therefore, whether it is watering or spraying, it should not be too much, as long as it does not become dehydrated.

3. Lighting

It is necessary to master the frequency of starting weak and then becoming strong. When you first start taking cuttings, you can use appropriate shade to make it grow under low light. If the light is too strong, the temperature inside the cutting container will be too high, which will accelerate the evaporation of the leaves and may cause the cuttings to lose water. After initial rooting, gradually increase the light to meet its growth needs. When watering it, be sure to pay attention to the cleanliness of the water and do not add fertilizer, which will inhibit the germination of new roots.

4. Planting

After a period of cuttings, when new buds sprout from the branches, it proves that the cuttings have survived. After the plant takes root, it should be transplanted in time to avoid the root system growing too densely and affecting its plant shape. After cuttings, the cuttings seedlings should be observed frequently. Once they are found to be wilting, withering and rotting, the injured seedlings should be removed in time to avoid causing greater impact.
