When should passion fruit be planted? Can watering be done by spraying the leaves?

1. Planting time

Passion fruit can be planted all year round. However, the most suitable time is after the beginning of spring, and it can be planted between March and May. If you are in the southern region, you can plant it a little earlier, in January or February. The seeds are usually removed after the fruit is harvested, after which they must be cleaned and dried. If you sow the seeds at that time, the temperature will be low, which may affect germination, so you have to wait until next spring.

2. Can I spray the leaves?

When growing passion fruit, it needs to be watered in time. When watering, you can spray the leaves appropriately, but you cannot spray the water on the flowers, as this may cause the flowers to wither. It likes a slightly moist soil environment. The soil cannot be too dry. When the climate is too dry, the air humidity will drop, so in addition to watering, you can also spray some water on the leaves.

3. Notes

Although it likes moisture, the soil cannot be too moist, and there should be no stagnant water. Especially during the flowering and fruiting period, stagnant water can easily cause flowers and fruits to fall off. When watering, follow the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry. If you find that the soil has become dry, just water it thoroughly. Although it is drought tolerant, it cannot allow the soil to become too dry.
