Planting method of bayberry

Planting method of bayberry

1. Planting environment

1. Potting soil: When planting water bayberry, you need to use loose, fertile and well-breathable soil. You can also use humus soil, garden soil and slag.

2. Watering: Water it in time during its growth period to ensure that the soil is moist. You can also spray water around the plant appropriately to increase the humidity of the planting environment to prevent the leaves from drying out. Water less in winter when the temperature is low, as long as the soil in the pot does not dry out.

3. Light: It should receive appropriate light and should be placed in a bright and ventilated environment. It should be avoided from exposure to the sun in summer and appropriate shading measures should be taken.

4. Fertilization: Apply thin fertilizer frequently, once a month. It is best to apply fully decomposed thin liquid fertilizer to meet its normal growth needs.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Cutting propagation: The most suitable temperature for cutting is about 20℃. Cut 10 cm thick and full branches, then soak them in carbendazim for disinfection, and soak them in rooting agent. The cuttings should not be too deep, generally 1.5-2 cm is enough. Spray water appropriately after cuttings, and they will take root in about 15-20 days.

2. Seed propagation: Soak the seeds before sowing. Make sure the soil is moist after sowing. Never water it with large amounts of water. When the seedlings grow, they should receive appropriate amounts of light and reduce watering.

3. Disease prevention and control

Bayberry is often attacked by chlorosis and sooty mold. Once discovered, it is necessary to spray it with ferrous sulfate solution or thiophanate in time for prevention and control.
