Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Strelitzia reginae

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Strelitzia reginae

1. Soil is alkaline

1. Reason: Strelitzia reginae prefers slightly acidic soil. If the pH of the soil in which it is grown is too high, it may not be able to adapt and its leaves may turn yellow.

2. Solution: First take the plant out of the original soil and cut off the yellow leaves. Then prepare some loose, thick, slightly acidic new flower soil to replace the old soil, plant the plants in it and slowly maintain them.

2. Too little fertilizer

1. Reason: Its growth requires nutrient support, so it needs to be fertilized every month during cultivation. If it is not fertilized for a long time, it will lack nutrients and the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Solution: In this case, just add some fertilizer to the plants. It is recommended to choose some fertilizers with fast effect, which can help it recover faster. When applying fertilizer, pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently and avoid applying concentrated fertilizers.

3. Too much light

1. Reason: Although it is a light-loving flower, it needs long-term sunlight to grow healthily. However, it is also afraid of direct sunlight. If the light in the place where it is grown is too strong, it may be sunburned and its leaves may turn yellow.

2. Solution: First use scissors to cut off the yellow leaves. Then prepare a shade net to provide shade for it during the summer and other seasons when the light is stronger at noon.
