How to grow iceberry succulent

How to grow iceberry succulent

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: To grow iceberry succulents, you need to use fertile and well-breathable soil. You can mix peat, perlite and vermiculite, and you can also add bone meal appropriately.

2. Watering: Water the Iceberry Succulent in moderation and not too frequently. Once every half a month is enough. It is best to wait until the soil is dry before watering, and do not water too much. When watering, be careful not to water the center of the leaves, as this will leave water stains and greatly affect the appearance. It is best to water along the edge of the pot.

3. Light: Provide it with a growing environment with sufficient light and ventilation. If the light is too weak, it will grow too tall and the leaves will be loose, which will greatly reduce its ornamental value.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Leaf cutting propagation: Peel off the more robust leaves, place them with the leaves facing up on moist sand, without covering them with soil. Place them in a ventilated and cool place. Small leaves will grow in about 10 days. After the roots grow out, water them appropriately and bury the roots in the soil. After that, expose them to more sunlight and apply fertilizer and water appropriately.

2. Propagation by cuttings: Cut off suitable cuttings, remove the lower leaves after the wound becomes dry, and then insert them into the sand bed. They will grow roots in about half a month. The soil should not be too moist to prevent the wound from rotting. Wait until the roots grow about 2-3 cm before potting.

3. Common pests and diseases

Black rot: This is generally caused by bacteria, usually due to excessive watering and high temperature. It must be treated in time after discovery, otherwise it is easy to die. Once the leaves are found to turn black, beheading can be used to save them.
