How to grow ivy quickly

1. Soil and repotting

If you want the plants to grow fast, you must pay attention to the nutrition of the soil. Choose soil with a lot of humus and add base fertilizer to it to ensure nutrient supply. Repotting should be done about once every one to two years, and basal fertilizer should also be added.

2. Suitable temperature

The most suitable temperature is warm, specifically around 25 degrees. Don't keep the temperature too low, as it will inhibit growth. But it should not be too high. If the temperature is higher than 35 degrees, the plant will stop growing and will shed its leaves.

3. Appropriate amount of light

Although the plant is shade-tolerant, it still needs the help of light to increase its growth rate. But it is enough to provide only diffuse light, and it must not be too strong. Place it in a brightly lit area, or in a cooler location in the summer.

4. Appropriate water

If the plant wants to grow fast, it naturally needs sufficient water. But not too much, and don't let water accumulate, as too much will be counterproductive. Just keep the soil slightly moist so the roots can absorb water. In summer, humidification is also needed, such as spraying some water.

5. Reasonable fertilization

If there is insufficient nutrition in the soil, it should be supplemented by fertilizing. In spring, the plants grow fastest and need to be watered once every two weeks. In summer, the frequency can be less, about once a month.

6. Prune at the right time

The branches that need to be pruned are mainly those that are too long and too dense to increase light and air permeability.
