Camellia grafting, quickly grow oldThere are several ways to graft camellia. Huahua will introduce you to the clip grafting method. Compared with other grafting methods, the clip grafting method has a super high survival rate and is easy to operate. It allows you to quickly grow camellia into an old stump. Come and see how it is done! 1. Prepare the rootstockGrafting is divided into scion and rootstock. The rootstock is the grafted one. What Huahua introduces here is using Camellia dasyphylla as the rootstock and cutting off the top branches of Camellia dasyphylla. 2. Dig small grooves on the rootstockDig a 3 cm long groove on the rootstock in the shape as shown in the figure below. The size of the groove should be large enough to fit the stem of the camellia seedling. For camellia seedlings, half of the bark should be removed so that they can fit into the small groove. 3. Put the seedlings into the small groovePlace the seedlings in the small trough as shown in the picture. 4. Fix the seedling in the slotFind a piece of black tape and stick it around the joint between the seedling and the small groove to fix the seedling on the rootstock. If you don't have black tape, you can also use a plastic bag or tie it up with rope. Several cuttings can be grafted onto one rootstock. If the diameter of the rootstock is 1-2 cm, one scion can be grafted; if the diameter of the rootstock is 2-3 cm, two scion can be grafted, and so on. 5. Make high soilThe roots of the camellia seedlings used here are above the surface of the rootstock pot after grafting, so you can use a bottomless plastic flower pot or culture cup to cover the roots of the seedlings and fill them with soil. 6. After half a year, cut off the seedlingsFor camellia grafting, it usually takes half a year for the scion to become one with the rootstock. Patient flower lovers can wait for 8-9 months before cutting the seedlings and separating them from the rootstock. 7. Remove the black tapeAfter cutting the seedlings, you can peel off the black tape and see that the seedlings and the rootstock are completely grown together. In this way, you get a big camellia seedling! View from the side View from above Rose bud grafting, one rose can bloom 100 colors of flowersDo you want one rose to bloom with 100 colors? Then hurry up and learn the bud grafting method from Huahua. It is simple and easy to survive! 1. Cut off the strong leaf budsFind a strong and full leaf bud, use a knife to cut down from 1 cm above the leaf bud, about 3 cm, with a thickness of 3 mm. 2. Soak in waterSoak the cut leaf buds in clean water or wrap them in a wet towel to reduce water evaporation. 3. Make a cut on the rootstockUse a knife to cut a piece of the rootstock branch, also 3 mm thick and 3 cm long. Be careful not to cut it all off, leaving a small piece of skin at the bottom. 4. Insert the leaf bud into the rootstockAs shown in the picture below, insert the leaf bud into the rootstock so that the leaf bud is exposed. 5. Tie the leaf budsUse a plastic bag to tie the leaf buds to the rootstock. First stick the tape from bottom to top, then stick it from top to bottom. Don't stick it too tight, the leaf buds should be exposed. These are the steps for budding, super simple! 6. 10-15 days to surviveRose bud grafting is very fast, usually it will be successful after 10-15 days, the leaf buds will become one with the rootstock, and the leaf buds will grow bigger and bigger! By grafting roses of different colors together, it is not an exaggeration to have one rose tree bloom with 100 colors of flowers! Knowledge about grafting, Huahua, I'll stop here for now. Grafting isn't that difficult, right? You should try it now! If you think Huahua's method is good, Just share it with your friends! |
