Don’t buy these 5 kinds of flowers no matter how cheap they are! Just cut a branch and it will keep alive, it doesn’t cost a penny!

Cuttings of Chinese roses

1. Flower mud cutting method:

① Cut off 10~15cm of strong rose branches at a 45° angle, with at least 2 nodes, retain 2~3 leaves, and cut off the rest.

② Prepare floral mud, which is the bottom material usually used for flower arrangement, or it can be a sponge. Cut it into 3~5cm rectangular pieces and soak them in water.

③Insert the trimmed rose branches into the floral mud block.

④After planting, place all the cuttings upright in a large pot, add 2 to 3 cm of water to the pot to keep them sufficiently hydrated.

⑤ Cover the pot with a transparent lid or plastic film and place it in a place with scattered light and good ventilation.

⑥ After about 2 weeks, the rose will take root. At that time, you can carefully remove the floral mud and protect the roots. You can also keep the floral mud or sponge and put them in the pot together.

⑦After being transplanted into pots, the roses will surely bloom again!

2. Water bottle cutting method:

① Prepare rose branches for cuttings, at least two nodes, and cut off excess leaves to avoid wasting nutrients.

②Prepare a clean and transparent plastic bottle.

③Put the cuttings with the leaves facing up into a plastic bottle, add some water to the bottom, enough to cover the cut by 1 cm, then screw on the bottle cap and place it in a place with scattered light at home.

④Change the water every day, and it will basically take root after 2 weeks.

⑤After rooting, transplant the cuttings into pots.

Cuttings of blue snowflakes

1. Sandwich cutting method:

① Prepare blue snow flower branches (with at least one pair of leaves), a seedling container (with water absorption holes at the bottom), peat soil, vermiculite and No. 5 batteries.

② Place the battery in the center of the seedling box, then add peat soil around it, compact it and take out the battery to form a hollow space.

③Fill the formed hole with vermiculite.

④Insert the branches of blue snow into the middle part with vermiculite and water it thoroughly.

⑤ Fill the seedling boxes one by one, then put them into another larger pot, add water to the larger pot, and the water surface should not exceed half the height of the seedling box.

⑥ Cover with a transparent lid or wrap with plastic film and place in a ventilated place without direct sunlight, which can accelerate rooting.

⑦ Within a week, Lanxue will take root. This method avoids the disadvantage of black rot caused by directly using nutrients. When transplanting into pots, you can directly transplant the pots with the soil, which is very convenient.

2. Perlite cutting method:

① Prepare a few disposable plastic cups and the blue snow branches needed for cuttings.

② Prepare an appropriate amount of perlite, and use only perlite without any other media.

③ Fill a plastic cup about half full with perlite, then insert the cuttings into the perlite and water the cup until the water does not cover the perlite.

④After planting, cover with plastic film to keep warm and moisturize, and accelerate rooting.

⑤This method can also help the plant grow roots quickly, but when the temperature is high, be sure to place it in a slightly cool place, otherwise it will easily rot.

⑥ After rooting, you can transplant it into a pot. The new soil can be prepared with leaf mold and perlite in a ratio of 2:1. The perlite can be reused.

Cuttings of Catharanthus roseus

1. Fish tank bottom sand cutting method:

① Select relatively fine fish tank bottom sand, place it in a foam insulation box or a larger container, and wash it several times with carbendazim or clean water to sterilize and disinfect it.

② Pour the diluted potassium permanganate solution into the box. The dilution level should be enough to make the soil turn light purple. The potassium permanganate solution should just cover the bottom sand of the fish tank.

③Cut off 8~10cm of strong vinca branches, leaving 2~3 leaves, with or without flowers.

④Insert the cuttings into the bottom sand of the fish tank, making sure the gaps between the branches are not too dense. Then place the incubator in a place with diffuse light.

⑤ After two weeks, vinca roseus will take root. The survival rate of this method is very high.

⑥ After taking root, you can transplant the vinca seedlings into pots.

2. Nanny cutting method:

① Choose a healthy pot of flowers as the "nanny flower". Here we choose the original pot of vinca major.

② Prepare the vinca branches to be cut, and decide the number of cuttings according to the size of the flowerpot.

③Insert the branches of Catharanthus roseus into the pot of "Nanny Flower". Be careful to insert them in a place with larger gaps, otherwise it will be difficult to separate them after they grow up.

④The advantage of this method is that you can use the normal flower growth conditions to directly cultivate cuttings. It doesn’t require too much effort, is very convenient, and has a high survival rate.

Jasmine cuttings

1. Soil culture cuttings:

① Choose a strong jasmine branch, cut off 5~10cm, and keep a pair of leaves on it. The leaves can be cut off 1/2 or 2/3 to reduce water evaporation.

② Prepare a container for soil cultivation. An ordinary plastic bottle will do. Cut off 1/3 of the head and drill a few holes in the flat bottom to allow drainage and ventilation.

③ Use pure vermiculite as the culture medium, with a survival rate of 100% and very fast rooting!

④ Add vermiculite into a plastic bottle, then insert the jasmine cuttings, water thoroughly, and place it in a ventilated place that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

⑤ In about a week, the jasmine will take root, so fast that you won’t believe it!

2. Hydroponic cuttings:

① For hydroponic bottles, just choose light-transmitting ones. Transparent bottles are helpful for us to observe the rooting conditions.

②Put the jasmine branches in the bottle and add water just enough to cover the roots. Remember to add water at any time and do not cut off the water. Generally, it will take root after 2 weeks.

③After taking root, transplant the jasmine branches into pots. When the flowering season comes, you will have a pot of fragrant jasmine!

Petunia cuttings

① Pick a few sturdy petunia branches with 2 to 3 nodes and a length of 5 to 8 cm.

② Use peat soil as the cutting medium and place it in the culture container and compact it.

③ Use scissors or chopsticks to poke a hole to make it easier to plant the petunia branches into the soil without damaging the branches.

④Insert the cuttings one by one, and then compact the soil around them to ensure that the branches do not fall over.

⑤ After watering thoroughly, cover the container with a layer of plastic wrap and place it in a place with scattered light and ventilation. Do not remove the plastic wrap from time to time to check the situation, as this will easily cause the cuttings to fail.

⑥After two weeks, the petunia will basically take root.

⑦ In order to thrive in the future, the seedlings should be moved to a large flowerpot for care. Petunias are very easy to grow and will fill up the pot in just one month!
