How to take cuttings of the lucky tree

How to take cuttings of the lucky tree

1. How to take cuttings

1. First of all, in March and April, when the temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius, you can cut off the branches that have grown for one to two years. At this time, the branches have become woody and are still easy to cut. About 15cm to 20cm are enough. Then remove all the leaves on top and keep only a few tender leaves on the top.

2. Then use chemicals, such as potassium permanganate, to disinfect its wounds. The chemicals should not be too concentrated. Then place it in a windy and cool area to dry the moisture on the branches.

3. If it is grown in water, you can now put it into a bottle of water. If planted in the soil, the depth of the plant should be half or one third of the soil. If you grow it in water, you must change the water every one or two days before it grows roots. If it is grown in soil, you also need to water it to keep the soil moist before its wounds close and roots take root.

4. After the roots grow out of the water, you can move it into a pot and then water it thoroughly. Place it in a cool area and let it grow slowly. After about 5 days, you can maintain it normally. After it grows roots, you can plant it in a pot with a ball of soil. It is best to plant two or three plants in one pot. You can apply some rooting liquid on the wound to make it easier for it to survive.

2. How to maintain it in daily life

1. It can survive regardless of whether it is in the sun all day or in partial shade, but it cannot be exposed to the sun for too long, nor can it be placed in a dark area all the time.

2. The soil just needs to be kept moist at normal times. Do not water it too much. You can spray a little water on the leaves every two or three days to increase the humidity and help lower the temperature.

3. You should frequently loosen or turn the soil, then mix nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium with some water and sprinkle it on the soil.
