How to make succulents bloom

How to make succulents bloom

1. What is Chujin?

This means that during the cultivation process of the plant, due to the influence of various factors, the genes change, causing the color of its flowers to change. This phenomenon is similar to albinism in animals. However, it is not exactly the same. This is because albinism in animals is a disease, but succulents are different.

This phenomenon will make succulents more stunning and more beautiful. There are many factors that affect its variegation, such as light, temperature difference, artificial application of some drugs and so on. Generally speaking, it is not easy to make it produce brocade. Moreover, after it is released, it is not absolutely stable and may return to its original state or have other problems.

2. Specific practices

(1) Induce genetic mutation through a certain amount of radiation. This method may be passed on to the next generation. However, ordinary people have no way to do it themselves and can only buy already processed varieties. Alternatively, there is the possibility that it will not be successful and may damage the plant instead.

(2) The second method is to implant some special viruses. Doing so can also cause genetic changes. Similarly, this method is impossible for us breeders to do. In this way, it may also be passed down through heredity.

(3) The third method is to place the plants in a completely dark room for a week. Then, take it out at noon and put it in the sun to dry. By doing this, there is a certain probability of success. However, it is possible that only one leaf will produce variegated flowers, and then propagation will be necessary to obtain the entire plant.

(4) Through tissue culture, during the process, some hormones are used to induce genetic changes. It is also possible to succeed and be hereditary. This is the most commonly used method.
