How to dwarf freesia

How to dwarf freesia

1. What is dwarfing?

Some plant species grow very tall, and as they get taller they can become very difficult to manage. It also grows quite tall for this plant and has poor upright standing, tipping over easily. Then, we will take some measures to dwarf it to solve this problem.

2. Specific measures

(1) Control the surrounding environment: Specifically, three elements need to be controlled, namely: water control, fertilizer control, and soil control. Among these three, the effect of fertilizer control is more obvious. By doing this, its growth rate can be effectively suppressed, thus achieving the goal of making the plant shorter.

(2) Topping: We all know that the trunk of a plant will generally grow taller first, which can be very troublesome. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, we can top the main trunk when it grows to a certain height, allowing side branches to grow and inhibiting the growth rate of the main trunk. When the side branches grow very long, you can pinch them off and transplant them and repeat the process.

(3) Pruning: This can be done all year round. Cut off any excess branches, especially those that are too long. In this way, the growth of its branches can be promoted. Through continuous pruning, the purpose of shortening the tree can be achieved.

(4) Use of chemicals: When potting in autumn, mix the chemicals evenly with water. Then, soak its bulbs in it for fifteen to twenty hours. Then, take it out, rinse it and put it in the basin.
