How to make azalea bloom

How to make azalea bloom

1. Various environmental factors

(1) Light: Although light is indispensable. However, this plant is very afraid of strong light. Therefore, to be safe, it is not advisable to place it facing south. It is better to place it facing east, west or north. However, if you want the plant to bloom, daily sunlight is necessary, preferably three to four hours.

(2) Water content: The general principle has been mentioned above, that is, “moist but not wet”, which is a very appropriate summary. Specifically, you can water it a little every day to promote its blooming. However, be sure not to allow water to accumulate. Otherwise, the entire plant will be affected, and it will be unlikely to continue to bloom. Also, considering that the plant prefers acidity, you can add a few drops of vinegar to the water.

(3) Fertilizer: There are not many requirements for the type. Animal manure is preferred as it is more natural and harmless. As for the number of times, you don’t need to do it too many times, as too many times will be counterproductive. Twice a month is enough, which is very helpful for it to bloom.

(4) Temperature: Needless to say, it must be at a suitable temperature. It blooms during relatively cooler months, so temperature is extremely important. For this plant, keeping it around twenty-four degrees is enough.

2. Bud picking

This is another perspective. This is not a necessary treatment, but some friends found the effect is good after trying it. This plant germinates very quickly and you can pick the buds every two days. New shoots will soon emerge. This can encourage it to bloom.
