How to grow orchids so they bloom more

1. Lighting

This is the most important factor in helping it grow flowers. Providing it with suitable lighting conditions can help it bloom more flowers. In addition, strength also needs special mention, as different varieties require different strengths.

The color of the red and yellow orchid will become darker if it is placed in bright light before blooming. If it is green or white, you should reduce the intensity before the buds grow, which can make it more elegant. Giving it enough light after the flowers grow can help it grow new buds. Before flowering, it should have 2-3 hours of light every day. If it does not see the sun for a long time, it will not grow flowers.

2. Temperature

In terms of temperature, there should be a low temperature period, and the temperature difference between day and night should be around ten degrees. If it is 18-21 degrees during the day, then it is best to be 5-10 degrees at night. This will be conducive to its growth and produce more flowers. If the night is warmer and the temperature difference between day and night is smaller, the flower buds will be weaker. There is a risk of bud blindness if they are kept in low temperatures for a long time, and small spots will grow on the leaves. If the temperature is low during the long flowering period, small brown spots will grow on the flowers.

3. Fertilizer and water

Fertilizer and water are also very important conditions and need precise control. If there is too much, it will grow too tall and it will not be easy to grow flowers. Appropriate water is also a factor that promotes it to grow more flowers. If there is too little water, the buds will be clamped. It is best to add bean cake fertilizer before it shows flower buds. It must be fermented first, and no fertilizer is needed before it blooms.
