How to fertilize African jasmine

How to fertilize African jasmine

Fertilization method:

When applying fertilizer, apply small amounts of fertilizer frequently. This can avoid harming the health of the plants when applying too much fertilizer. At the same time, applying small amounts of fertilizer frequently can also allow the plants to grow healthily at different stages.

April to August is the flowering period, and you can increase the amount of fertilizer appropriately, about once every half a month.

When the temperature is above 35 degrees in summer, the plant will stop growing, so fertilization should be suspended. Its optimal growth temperature is between 18 and 32 degrees.

During the growing period, you should also increase the amount of fertilizer, about once every 13 to 16 days.

In winter, when the temperature is low, fertilization should also be suspended. The minimum temperature in winter should not be lower than 3 degrees. If it stays in an environment below 0 degrees for a long time, it will affect its health. The minimum temperature for keeping warm in winter is around 5 degrees.

Note:

Generally, fertilization is combined with watering, so after fertilizing and watering, you must be careful not to allow water to accumulate. If the roots of African jasmine are in stagnant water for a long time, they will easily rot and cause the death of the plant.

For African jasmine planted in the north, you can add some ferrous sulfate to the soil after fertilizing. This can effectively prevent the leaves from turning yellow.

When choosing fertilizer, you can consult its seller and make sure it has diverse nutrition. You can also choose fertilizers that inhibit soil caking.
