Repotting Clivia

It is usually time to repot Clivia in spring or autumn. If the local temperature is above 15 degrees for three consecutive days, you can start repotting. If it is still relatively cold, wait a while and don't rush to change it.

How to do it:

1. If it is a young Clivia seedling, you can change the pot 1 to 2 times a year. The water lilies can be replaced every two years or so to replenish nutrients in time.

2. Loosen the soil on the surface of the pot first, then gently pull the Clivia out of the pot.

3. Prune the root system and cut off some shriveled empty roots and rotten roots.

4. Soak the cleaned roots in the carbendazim solution for 10 minutes. If the wound caused by root pruning is relatively large, you can apply some gentian violet to it, then take it out and place it in a ventilated place to dry.

5. The soil preparation for Clivia is very important. You can use leaf mold, pine needles, and river sand to make a 4:3:3 soil. You can also add small pieces of pine bark to the soil.

6. After spreading a layer of soil, you can sprinkle a thin layer of cooked melon seeds or sesame seeds, which is a good base fertilizer for Clivia.

7. The size of the pot is also important. You need to use a pot that matches the size of the seedlings. Don't just change to a larger pot for the sake of convenience. Generally speaking, the bottom of the Clivia's roots should not be more than 10 cm away from the bottom of the pot. Otherwise, it will easily lead to root rot and poor nutrient absorption.

Repotting the green radish

If you don't change the pot for a long time, you will find that the green radish does not like to grow, and its leaves even tend to become smaller. Generally speaking, the pot of green radish can be changed once a year.

How to do it:

1. After removing the plant from the pot, rinse the soil around the roots, cut off overly long roots with scissors, comb out some of the denser roots, and trim them slightly.

2. Soak the cut roots in a solution of carbendazim for 10 to 15 minutes, then take them out and dry them.

3. The soil for the green radish can be made of 4 parts of leaf mold and 1 part of perlite, which is both nutritious and breathable. Don’t rush to water the newly potted green radish. You can wait 2 to 3 days before watering it, and the rooting speed will be faster.

Camellia repotting

Camellia grows relatively fast, so you need to change the pot on time. In addition, camellia is prone to disease, and sometimes it is necessary to change the pot and soil to make it grow healthier!

How to do it:

1. After removing the camellia from the pot, if the soil around the roots is tight, you can soak it in water for a while, and then rinse it with water after it is softened.

2. Cut off the old and dead roots on the root system, and be careful not to move the roots in the center. After cutting, soak it in a solution of carbendazim for half an hour, then take it out and soak it in a rooting agent for 20 minutes.

3. To prepare the soil for camellia, you can use peat soil, river sand and red sandstone in a ratio of 5:3:2.

4. Before spreading soil in the flowerpot, you can put a layer of expanded clay to make the roots more breathable.

5. After planting the camellia, water it once to help it take root. You can use the rooting water that you have soaked before.

6. If the temperature at home is relatively dry, it is best to put the camellia in a bag to keep it moist, and poke a few small holes in the bag for ventilation. Place it in a ventilated place without direct sunlight and pick it after about 15 to 20 days.

Repotting Tiger Pilan

Sansevieria is the flower that is most likely to outgrow its pot. If you don't change the pot in time, the roots will even crack the pot. Generally, you can change the pot 1 to 2 times a year.

How to do it:

1. Tiger Pira grows relatively fast, so you can use a slightly larger pot when repotting.

2. Sansevieria does not have too high requirements for the soil. It can be mixed with leaf mold, garden soil and river sand. It is best to use wet soil, knead it into a ball with your hands, and it will be best if you can knead it lightly.

3. You can use bone meal as base fertilizer for Sansevieria, and you don’t need to apply fertilizer for the next six months.

4. After potting, there is no need to water because the soil is wet. You can wait half a month before starting watering and maintenance. This will give the Sansevieria time to adapt and reduce the chance of root rot.

This is the introduction to the tips on flower-growing when changing pots.
