How to breed black rabbit ears

How to breed black rabbit ears

1. Cutting

In fact, this propagation method is very simple. Select strong and full branches, cut them with tools, and then insert them into the prepared sand.

The sandy soil should be watered thoroughly in advance, then placed in a cool place and can be used only after it becomes slightly moist. After the cuttings are completed, place it in a ventilated and cool place for about 20 days, and it will grow new roots. Do not over-water during this period. If the environment is not too dry, you only need to spray some water on the surface of the sand. Over-watering can easily cause the wound to fester.

2. Division

This method can be done when repotting the plant. First, use a small shovel to dig out the entire plant, taking out the soil at the roots. When digging, be careful not to damage its root system, because once the root system is damaged, the new plant will grow slowly at best, or may not grow at all. Then gently remove some of the soil with your hands, and select the sub-plants with good growth, full flesh and strong plant shape for replanting.

However, do not water the newly planted plants immediately. Water them after about 3 days. Be careful not to let water accumulate in the soil, because the plant has not yet fully adapted to the pot. If water accumulates, it will easily die. At the same time, do not place it directly in the sun, especially the strong sunlight in the afternoon, so as to avoid the strong light causing too much stimulation to it and affecting its normal growth.

The above are two breeding methods for black rabbit ears. Both methods are very simple and easy. Newbies can also use them to try their skills.
