Cultivation methods and precautions of colored calla lily

Cultivation methods and precautions of colored calla lily

1. Water

It is necessary to water the colored calla lily regularly on a daily basis, which will help its root growth. The amount of water should be small each time to avoid the cultivation medium being too moist. Water frequently during the growing period to keep the medium slightly moist.

2. Lighting

Just provide it with soft diffuse light. The sunlight in spring, autumn and winter is not very strong, so you can just place it directly in the sun. But when summer comes, it needs to be shaded and not exposed to direct sunlight.

3. Nutrients

The plant does not need nutrients to survive the winter in the early stages, but will need to be fertilized 2-3 times during the growing season, and organic fertilizer can be applied. Appropriate top dressing should be done when the plant just enters the flowering stage, but no fertilizer should be applied after the peak flowering period, and it should be allowed to dormant better.

4. Temperature

During the rooting period of the plant, the temperature needs to be maintained at around 16°C. When breeding, it should be given a growth environment of 18-25℃, and the minimum temperature at night should not be lower than 13℃. The temperature in summer should not be too high. When it is too hot, cooling work needs to be done.

5. Notes

During the maintenance period, it needs frequent ventilation to create a ventilated growing environment for it, otherwise it will be prone to diseases and pests, which will also affect the flowering of the plant. Appropriate ventilation is allowed in winter, but ventilation should be strengthened in the hot summer.
