How to grow hydroponic spider plants vigorously

How to grow hydroponic spider plants vigorously

1. Water

The most critical factor in hydroponic green plants is water treatment. If you plan to use tap water, you must first expose the tap water to the sun for a day or two, because tap water contains a lot of bleach and chloride, which are not good for the growth and development of plants. If you want it to grow vigorously, changing the water is a necessary step, so you can prepare a large container and prepare more water to facilitate water changes later.

2. Container

Placing the spider plant in a visible glass container allows you to appreciate the roots while better observing the growth of the white roots to avoid root rot. After a period of time, some moss and other substances may appear on the inner wall of the container, which can be cleaned during the water change.

3. Light and temperature

The need for light of green plants is unquestionable, but direct sunlight can cause leaf burns. They can be placed on an indoor balcony facing east. This way they can avoid the strong light at noon while receiving sunlight in the early morning. Three or four hours of light a day is enough. The temperature should be controlled at around normal room temperature of 25 degrees, not exceeding 30 degrees or lower than 5 degrees, otherwise growth will stop or frostbite will occur.

4. Topdressing

Water contains certain nutrients, but spider plants need more nutrients during the growth period. If you want them to grow vigorously, you need to add nutrient solution to provide them with more nutrients. Don't do it too often, once a week is enough.
