How to keep baby's breath in winter

temperature

Winter temperatures are very important. It grows best at 25 degrees, and the night temperature can be adjusted to between 10 and 20 degrees. Because its flowering period is between September and December, in order to make it bloom better, the night temperature needs to be controlled above 15 degrees. If the temperature drops below 10 degrees, it will not be conducive to its flowering and will also put it into a dormant state.

Moisture

Its growth rate will become slower in winter, so you cannot water it according to the daily watering amount. It is only necessary to water it once every 4 to 7 days. It is best to water it at noon, and the water temperature should be close to room temperature before watering. If it is rainy, you can stop watering or water in small amounts.

illumination

When caring for it at home, you can place it directly in a sunny place. There is no need to take any shading measures in winter. If the lighting time can reach more than 12 hours, it will be conducive to flowering. Flower lovers who have the conditions can use fluorescent lamps to supplement the sunshine time and promote the differentiation of flower buds.

nutrient

When the temperature is controlled well in winter, it will continue to grow, but its growth rate will be greatly reduced. Therefore, the interval between fertilization should be extended. During the growing season, fertilizer should be applied every 6 days at most, while in winter it should be applied every 15 days or so. This plant has high requirements for fertilizer, so do not apply fertilizer indiscriminately. You can directly purchase special fertilizer. And during the fertilization process, be sure not to allow the plant stems, leaves and flowers to be contaminated by fertilizer, especially when fertilizing at night. If contaminated, be sure to wipe it with a clean cotton cloth.
