How to fertilize money string

How to fertilize money string

1. Time of fertilization

As we all know, the period from September to April to May of the following year is its growing season. At this time, it definitely needs a lot of fertilizer. So when we apply fertilizer at this time, we can apply a little more to it to provide it with sufficient nutrition and allow it to grow better.

But after the Mid-Autumn Festival, the temperature slowly drops, and you can't apply fertilizer as you please. In order for it to safely welcome the winter and survive the winter smoothly, we must stop applying any fertilizer to prevent it from getting fertilizer. Because the temperature is very low at this time, applying too much fertilizer will easily damage its roots.

Then you can apply fertilizer normally in spring. Also, you should pay attention in summer, especially when the temperature is high, and reduce the amount of fertilizer appropriately to prevent the high temperature from damaging the roots.

2. Fertilizer selection

When we first start to cultivate it, we should add some compound fertilizer to the substrate to meet its early needs, and then after the growth period, we can apply thin liquid fertilizer to it once a month. Then when autumn comes, you can apply a little potassium dihydrogen phosphate. You have to control the concentration. Apply it 2 to 3 times to make the leaves harder and fuller.

After that, when we repot the money tree every year, we can add some long-lasting base fertilizer to the bottom of its pot, so that we can provide it with nutrients for a long time.

Then during normal maintenance, you also need to apply a small amount of compound fertilizer. This kind of fertilizer has a very fast effect, is easy to use, and will provide more nutrients after application. However, it should be noted that the amount applied should be reasonable.

3. Other matters needing attention

When applying fertilizer, be sure to be careful not to let the fertilizer fall on the leaves or bury it directly on the roots, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and the roots will rot, and in severe cases the entire plant will die.

Therefore, when applying fertilizer, once you find fertilizer on the leaves, you must shake it off or wipe it off in time. The same applies to the roots. When applying fertilizer, keep the fertilizer as far away from the roots as possible.
