How to deal with Margarite after it blooms

How to deal with Margarite after it blooms

1. Treatment after flowering

1. Pruning branches

After the flowers of the marigold fade, we need to prune the branches immediately. If the branches are not pruned in time, it will affect the quality of flowering in the second year, and it will also have a certain impact on the marigold flowers themselves. Therefore, pruning the branches after flowering can allow all nutrients to be concentrated on the flower buds. This method can make the next flowering period come earlier, and at the same time, the marigold can bloom more luxuriantly in the next flowering period.

2. Create a dormant environment

After the marigold blooms, in addition to pruning, you must also pay attention to keeping the environment dry and ventilated. You can place the marigold on the terrace at home, but never let this flower get wet in the rain. If the marigold is exposed to the rain during this period, it is likely to cause the branches to wither. Also, try not to change the pot after the marigold blooms. Try to keep it in the original pot so that it can safely pass through the dormant period after flowering.

3. Watering

We all know that flowers must be watered, especially varieties like margarite, which also need a lot of water during the growth period. If they are not watered, it is very likely that the branches and leaves will dry up and turn yellow. If it is in spring and autumn, try to ensure that you can water the flowers once a day, especially after the margarite flowers fade, pay attention to the frequency of watering them.

2. Precautions

In addition, the marguerite flowers need to be potted once a year. When adding a pot, you must ensure that the marguerite flowers have sufficient fertilizer so that they can grow quickly. However, when applying base fertilizer, you must be careful not to let the roots of the marguerite come into close contact with the fertilizer, otherwise it will easily burn the roots of the marguerite flowers. You can use potting soil to separate the fertilizer and the seedlings.

In addition, if you want to propagate this flower, you can choose the method of cuttings. Generally, you should choose relatively mature branches for propagation. If you want to do cuttings, try to do it in spring and autumn.
