How to plant cinnabar root seeds

Seed selection

If you want to grow a good flower, good seeds are an essential prerequisite. A good seed should meet the following conditions:

1. Round and full, without deformity

2. No pests and diseases

3. No mechanical damage causing defects

4. The storage time is not long, it is best to harvest it in the same year

disinfect

Disinfection includes three aspects: one is to disinfect the seeds themselves, the second is to disinfect the medium used for sowing, and the third is to disinfect the flower pots used for sowing.

For seeds, hot water can be used for disinfection. Soak the seeds in 60℃ water for 15 minutes.

For the matrix, it can be disinfected by exposure to the sun or by hot frying. The exposure method is to spread the substrate, place it in a clean place, and expose it to the sun for 5 to 6 hours. The hot stir-fry method is to put the matrix in a pan and stir-fry it, then take it out and wait for it to cool down.

For flower pots, disinfectant can be used for disinfection. Soak the flower pot in disinfectant for 30 minutes, take it out and rinse it repeatedly with clean water, then put it in a cool place to dry.

Germination

In order to increase the germination rate of seeds, we can soak the seeds in 30℃ clean water for 12 to 24 hours to allow them to absorb water and swell.

Choice of substrate

A good planting medium can provide good enough conditions for seed germination and the growth of young plants.

The planting medium for cinnabar root can be selected with strong air permeability, good drainage and high fertility. It not only provides nutrition, but also provides a better growth environment for it.

Planting method

Cinnabar root does not require any special planting methods to grow well.

Place the selected substrate in the pot, smooth the surface, and then sprinkle the seeds on the substrate. Cover the seeds with a layer of soil and then water them.

During the whole process, you must pay attention to protecting the seeds and not let them be damaged, otherwise they may not germinate.

After planting, be sure to water the plants in time and do not let the substrate in the flowerpot dry out.

Place the flower pot in a semi-shaded room and seedlings will grow in a week or two.
