How to reproduce Tiger tongue red

How to reproduce Tiger tongue red

1. Cutting propagation

1. From summer to autumn, the branches of Tiger Tongue Red can be used for reproduction. The operation period is mainly from May to September because the temperature is relatively high, about 20 to 30 degrees. The requirements for branches are not very strict, as long as they are healthy, disease-free and have vigorous growth momentum. You can cut the main branches or side branches and shorten them, trim off some leaves and leave only a few leaves. This can reduce water transpiration. The branch length can be about 6 cm.

2. The section that is ready to be inserted into the soil should be cut on both sides of the tail to increase the contact area with moisture and soil. Insert the pruned branches into the pot and shade it. You don't need too much, just keep the soil moist. After completion, pay attention to management. It will grow roots in about twenty days to a month and then survive.

2. Root propagation

1. The roots produced by the mother plant that grows well are all relatively well extended. Select the thick roots and divide them into several sections, or select the seedlings grown from the roots, and place them face down or flatly in the nutrient soil, submerged about two centimeters in the soil. Branches will grow in about two weeks, and you can change the pot after the growth is stable.

2. The soil in the new pot can be made by mixing leaf mold, sandy soil, and pond mud. Pay attention to protecting the roots when transplanting. It is best to plant only one plant in a small or medium-sized pot, and you can try to plant three plants in a large pot.

3. Seed propagation

When sowing seeds, you should choose a time period when the temperature difference between morning and evening is relatively small, such as late spring and early summer, and March and May when the temperature rises. Before planting, the seed coat should be ground and soaked in warm water at about 27 degrees for several hours to accelerate germination. After three or four days of germination, the seeds will sprout new leaves. Plant the seeds with new sprouts in sparse and loose soil. It is best to use a mixture of sandy soil, peat and leaf mold as the culture soil, and cover with one centimeter of soil. Just water it thoroughly.
