How to reproduce Hyssopus officinalis

Seed propagation

Choice of time: Generally speaking, we should choose a season with sufficient sunlight and less rain. Therefore, we usually choose the early spring, which is from March to May.

Choice of location: We will choose to sow in the open field. The principle of selection is relatively simple, that is, to choose a location with good soil and convenient watering.

Specific method: The live broadcast method we chose. After sowing, pay attention to controlling the temperature between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. If all conditions are suitable, the seeds will generally germinate within two to three weeks of sowing. You can't just ignore it after germination. You need to pay attention to sunlight and fertilizer so that the seedlings can grow better. After the seedlings grow to six to eight centimeters, they can be transplanted. At this time, the temperature should be controlled between fifteen and thirty degrees.

Cutting propagation

Time: The best time to do this is in spring.

Specific method: Select branches that are in good growth condition and not diseased, and then insert them at an angle into the substrate that has been moistened. Then, continue to keep it moist and the temperature also needs to be controlled. The next step is to wait for them to take root. Note that appropriate shading measures should be taken at this time and they should not be exposed to the sun.

Propagation by division

Time: This method is more suitable in autumn.

Specific method: First, we also have to choose a relatively strong mother plant without diseases and insect pests, then move it out of the pot, clean the soil and debris at the roots, and then divide them into several small plants, each part must have sufficient root system. After dividing, they are transplanted separately.
