What to do if the leaves of hydroponic Anthurium turn yellow

reason

In fact, the most important thing for hydroponic Anthurium is water. Most of the nutrients of the plant come from water, and some of them accumulate nutrients through photosynthesis. If water is not added to the hydroponic container in time, there is insufficient nutrition in the water, or there is insufficient light, any of these will cause the leaves of Anthurium to turn yellow.

Treatment

Add water in time

Check the water level in the hydroponic container frequently. When the water level is lower than 1/3 of the roots, water needs to be added in time. As long as there is enough water in the hydroponic container, there is no need to spray water on the leaves every day. If the leaves are dirty, just wipe them gently with a damp cloth.

Add nutrient solution at the right time

It doesn’t matter how often you change the water for hydroponic Anthurium. The key is to control the content of nutrient solution in the water. As time goes by, the water will be absorbed by the plant, and the daily watering process actually completes the water change step.

Therefore, to ensure that there are sufficient nutrients in the water, add a few drops of nutrient solution when adding water to the container. As for the specific amount to be dropped, it can be flexible according to the growth of anthurium. Drop at least two drops each time, and then observe the growth of the plant. If it is normal, keep it as it is; if it grows poorly, add appropriate amount.

Supplemental sunlight

Anthurium grown in water requires more sunlight than that grown in soil. It is necessary to ensure 2 to 3 hours of direct sunlight every day (avoid direct sunlight at noon). More sunlight in winter can prevent the branches and leaves from becoming weak and yellow.
