How to sow the seeds of Pansy

How to sow the seeds of Pansy

1. Seed sowing

Generally, when we plant pansies, we can directly buy seeds to plant. As for how to plant them, let’s learn together.

1. Buy seeds

When buying pansy seeds, don't just think about the cheaper price. You have to know that you get what you pay for. This saying makes sense. If the price is too cheap, it is easier to buy some expired or poor quality seeds, so you must buy some relatively better ones, otherwise even if you plant them, they will not germinate or bloom.

2. Sowing time

After the seeds are selected, the next step is to start sowing. It is not possible at any time. It is generally better to do it in spring and autumn. At this time, as long as the temperature reaches about 20 degrees, it will be fine.

3. Soil selection

Pansies generally prefer soil with better moisture retention, so when choosing soil, it is best to choose peat soil, which will be more moisturizing and help it grow roots faster.

4. Sowing method

Because the seeds themselves are relatively small, we can make some small holes in the soil and put the seeds in one by one. Then cover them with a layer of fine soil and then water them as needed.

5. Planting at the right time

After its seeds sprout, many seedlings will grow out, and then we can plant them in flowerpots. In the first few days after planting the flowerpot, it must not be exposed to the sun. Wait until these days are over, and then you can start normal maintenance. This basically completes the sowing.

2. Seedling sowing

In addition to the seed sowing we mentioned above, some people don’t want to go through so much trouble and can directly buy some seedlings for sowing. When you first buy it, you must take good care of it. Also, don't expose it to the sun for the first few days. After it adapts to the environment at home, you can start normal maintenance with appropriate amount of watering and light.
