1. Planting1. TimeThere are three times to sow this flower, depending on when you want it to bloom. If you want it to bloom in spring or May, you must sow the seeds in January. If you want it to bloom after wintering, there are two ways. The first type can be sown directly in the open air, but it must be started early, in July or August. The other method is a little later, but it must be done in a greenhouse and can be sown in August or September. 2. BuddingAfter sowing, you need to maintain a relatively balanced humidity and lightly cover the surface of the seeds with vermiculite. If the temperature is maintained at 20-21 degrees, the seeds will germinate in a little over a week. 3. Cotyledon expansionAfter the cotyledons are fully expanded, the environment needs to be adjusted. At this time, the temperature and humidity need to be lowered appropriately. Only 17-20 degrees is needed to be suitable for the growth of seedlings. Then, in about 6-8 weeks, the seedlings will grow. At this time, space becomes particularly important and they need to be moved and placed in pots with a diameter of 8-15 cm. If you want to grow two or three plants together, you can put them in a 10-12 cm pot. There are also requirements for the soil in the flower pot. The soil must be loose and have relatively large particles of grass, and the soil must be slightly acidic. The temperature should be maintained at 13~17 degrees to enable normal growth. 4. Overwintering and floweringIt can overwinter normally when the temperature is between 3-5 degrees Celsius and there is no frost. If you raise them outdoors, you can use warm fabrics to keep them warm so they can safely overwinter. After the temperature rises to 15-18 degrees, it will take 10-11 weeks for the flower to bloom. Low temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees are not suitable for growth and will prolong the entire cycle. If the temperature is any lower, growth will stop. 2. Division propagationThis method is simpler and has lower requirements for various conditions. When dividing the plants, you must choose clumped seedlings and separate them with a knife. You need to leave 1-2 buds on each plant and grow them in pots to supply nutrients. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that you must do a good job of keeping warm in winter, otherwise the seedlings may die easily. After division, continue to cultivate according to the normal method. There is nothing else to pay attention to and the operating skills are easy. |
