1. Seed propagationCollecting seeds: From September to October every year, the fruits of willow herb will mature, and we can collect them at this time. Cut off its capsules and put them on the ground in the sun. Soon the capsules will crack open, and the seeds will come out. Remove impurities and collect the good ones. The seeds can be stored in a dry state. Prepare the land and make beds: Generally, the seedbed for it to grow is suitable in a sunny place. Before sowing, the ground should be leveled to make the soil even and fine. You also need to disinfect the soil, water it enough and keep it moist. Sowing: Sowing is usually done in spring and autumn, but more often in early spring. After sowing, cover them with a thin layer of soil so that the seeds will germinate more easily. 2. Cutting propagationThis method is usually carried out during its growth period. First of all, we need to pick off the tender seedlings with top buds, and then put them in a bucket filled with clean water to prevent the tender buds from withering and being contaminated. When sowing, you can pick some of the lower leaves and insert them into a wet sand bed. Under the light, spray it frequently to keep it moist. Generally, the temperature should be maintained at 15 to 20 degrees. It will take root 10 to 15 days after insertion, and you can transplant it into a pot or the ground in about a month. 3. Division propagationThis is also available in both spring and autumn. In spring, dig out its underground roots, cut them into several small sections, and bury them underground, so that new plants can grow. When dividing the plant in autumn, you should take the soil ball with you and cut off part of the stem. When digging, you must not damage its roots. Bring the soil and pack it in a bag or flowerpot. This way, the chances of survival will be very high. After the division is completed, be sure to keep the soil moist at all times. When it is transported to the place for cultivation, it just needs to be planted as soon as possible. |
