Rubber tree leaf cutting method

Rubber tree leaf cutting method

Select the leaf

Although the petioles of rubber leaves can grow adventitious roots, they cannot produce adventitious buds, so they cannot grow into new individuals. Therefore, when choosing leaves, you should choose leaves with a small bud at the base (this type of leaves is less common).

Handling leaves

For plants with larger leaves, appropriate pruning can be done. Leaves that are too large will consume too many nutrients and affect rooting. You can cut the leaves in half, dry them in a cool place, and then use them as leaf cuttings.

Then insert the prepared leaves into the sand. If you want them to take root quickly, you can buy special rooting agents on the market. The fastest way is to take root in 1 hour.

root

The branches and leaves of rubber trees can easily take root, and the rooting speed of different varieties is not much different.

Before long, you can select leaves with tender buds and plant them in separate pots to form a complete plant!
