How to grow strawberries in winter

Prepare the Materials

Seedlings: They must be seedlings of four-season strawberries. This is very important. When digging the seedlings, you must bring as much original soil as possible to reduce the damage to the roots when digging. At the same time, you must also choose seedlings that are large and strong. This can increase the survival rate and allow you to eat the strawberries you planted as soon as possible.

Soil: Choose soil that is rich in nutrients. Try not to use soil from the field, as the soil from the field is contaminated by pesticides and fertilizers. It is best to choose soil around trees in the mountains and forests, so that it can be kept as green as possible;

Flower pot: An ordinary flower pot will do, preferably with a drainage hole at the bottom for easy management, but try to make it a little bigger. Of course, it is better to plant more at a time.

Planting steps

Place the seedlings with soil directly in the soil, and cover them with a layer of soil. The height of the soil should be enough to completely cover the roots of the seedlings. Then compact the soil with your hands. Don't underestimate this action. This can more effectively combine the soil with the seedlings, which is beneficial for the seedlings to absorb water and nutrients.

Water the plant immediately after planting. When water flows out from the small holes at the bottom of the flowerpot, water it appropriately to ensure that the entire soil in the pot is wet. When watering, water the plant slowly along the edge of the pot to prevent the roots from being washed out. Water the plant sufficiently each time you water it.

Place the pot in a well-ventilated, sunny area; wind will pollinate the strawberries as they bloom. This is also very important (unless you can catch bees to pollinate for you, which is not realistic).

After a few months, you can eat strawberries. They may not look good, but they will taste very good and are absolutely green and organic, so they are healthier to eat!
