What to do if the leaves of the peace lily turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the peace lily turn yellow

1. Increase the temperature

Reason: If it is not kept warm in time when the temperature is relatively low in winter, its leaves may be frostbitten and turn yellow.

Solution: Move it indoors before the temperature drops in winter. If it has been frostbitten, remove the yellow leaves and provide it with a warm growing environment.

2. Reduce watering

Reason: Watering the peace lily too much will cause water to accumulate in the soil. If the accumulated water cannot be discharged in time, the roots of the plant will be damaged and it will not be able to absorb nutrients from the soil normally. Without the supply of nutrients, the leaves of the peace lily will turn yellow.

Solution: Do not water the peace lily too much. If you have watered it too much, place the flowerpot near a vent to let the wind dry the soil, and then reduce the frequency of watering.

3. Change the soil

Reason: In order to save costs, some businesses do not use good soil to grow peace holly trees, and even mix some impurities into the soil. After staying in this poor quality soil for a long time, the peace thyme tree will not be able to absorb enough nutrients and its leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Replace the soil for the peace lily with some nutrient-rich soil.

4. Provide shade at the right time

Reason: In the summer when the light intensity is relatively high, if it is exposed to strong light directly, it may burn its leaves and make them turn yellow.

Solution: Take some shade measures for it in the summer. If it has been burned, move it to a semi-shaded room, remove the yellow leaves, and slowly maintain it.
