How to propagate the yellow-breasted arrowroot

How to propagate the yellow-breasted arrowroot

Division

Division propagation can generally be carried out when the temperature reaches 20 degrees, without having to distinguish between spring and autumn.

Use a sharp knife to cut its roots into small pieces, but choose roots with leaves and buds. After cutting, you can insert them into the pot, and then control the temperature between 20 and 28 degrees, and the humidity should be above 80%. The potting soil should also be kept moist at this time. If the humidity cannot be guaranteed, you can wrap it with plastic film. You can remove the film at noon and sprinkle water to keep it moist.

Cuttings

Cutting propagation can be carried out at any time when the temperature is above 20 degrees. Select the tenderer branches at the top of the plant and cut 10 cm to 15 cm in length, which is equivalent to 1/3 or 1/2 of the leaves. After cutting, soak them in a specific regulator that is conducive to their growth for 2 to 3 seconds, then take them out immediately and insert them into the prepared seedbed. If the propagation amount is large, the recommended spacing is 5 cm X 10 cm.

Also cover it with plastic film, control the temperature above 20 degrees, and maintain 80% humidity. New roots will grow in about 30 to 50 days. Here we recommend that novice friends use division to propagate it, because the chance of success of cuttings is only 50%, while as long as the humidity and temperature are controlled well, the chance of success of division can reach more than 98%.

Okay, now you know how to deal with it. If you think there is no problem, please share it with your friends!
