How to grow peach blossoms in winter

How to grow peach blossoms in winter

1. The importance of winter maintenance

Generally speaking, the normal flowering period of peach blossoms is in spring. However, if it is properly handled in winter, its flowering period will be advanced and it will bloom around the Spring Festival. We can enjoy the beautiful flowers in advance during the internodes. Therefore, winter maintenance is more important.

2. How to keep it in winter

1. Suitable temperature: Temperature is very important in winter maintenance and is also helpful for flowering. In late autumn, after the leaves fall, the plant can be placed in a cooler place at around 7 degrees. One to one and a half months before the Spring Festival, move it indoors and ensure the temperature is around ten degrees. Then, slowly increase the temperature to 20 to 25 degrees. After about half a month to twenty-five days within this temperature range, the peach flowers will bloom.

2. Appropriate amount of water: As the temperature changes slowly, you can add some water. There is no specific watering interval, it can be determined according to the dryness and wetness of the soil. If you notice that the soil is relatively dry, you can add some water, but not too much, and waterlogging is even worse.

3. Suitable light: Peach blossoms love light, and light is also needed to promote flowering, so they should be placed in a location with good light.

4. Fertilizer: If the plant blooms in winter, no fertilizer is needed before flowering, but fertilizer can be applied after flowering. No fertilizer is needed if it is not flowering.

5. Diseases: If diseases such as "leaf curl" occur, use pesticides to prevent and control them in time.
