How to mix granular soil? The best formula for mixing granular soil into nutrient soil

Granular soil preparation requirements

With the rise of the succulent industry, more and more friends are raising succulents, and the most popular breeding soil among succulent flower farmers is granular soil. When preparing granular soil, you can choose granules, peat soil, rice husk charcoal, expanded clay, perlite, vermiculite, etc. and configure them according to a certain proportion.

Among them, perlite can loosen the soil, improve soil permeability and drainage, and vermiculite can promote the growth and development of plant roots. Both are indispensable substances for growing succulents.

How to prepare granular soil

1. There are many substrates that can be used to grow succulents. Commonly used ones are peat, perlite, vermiculite, volcanic rock, etc. You can choose several of them. When preparing granular soil, you must first use a sieve to filter out impurities in the soil.

2. Preparation ratio: Mix particles, peat soil, rice husk charcoal, and expanded clay in a ratio of 5:3:1:1, or choose particles, peat soil, perlite, and vermiculite in a ratio of 3:2:0.5:0.5. This can generally ensure the nutrition and air permeability required for the growth of succulents.

3. After the granular soil is prepared, in order to ensure the fertility of the soil, you can add some earthworm manure, dry chicken manure, slow-release fertilizer, bone meal, etc. as base fertilizer or directly mix it with the soil, which can also achieve the effect of improving the soil.

Precautions for preparing granular soil

Granular soil is very suitable for the growth of succulents, but you must pay attention to screening the soil after preparation, filter out the powder in the granular soil, and do not let the powder accumulate in the granular soil to avoid damaging the roots of succulents.
