Watering at different times

First watering

Don't compare the first watering with every other time, because this watering is very important. Some flower lovers call this water "rooting water". This time you must water enough to ensure that the soil underneath also has water so that the soil can drink and be moistened. It’s not enough to see water flowing out from the bottom of the basin, you have to do it again.

Watering during the growing season

It is not difficult to raise yellow Chanlan orchids once they have entered the normal maintenance stage. They also need water in summer. Once they lack water, they are likely to grow poorly. However, you cannot give them too much. This kind of flower only needs 20% of the water. Just water it thoroughly, and do not water it halfway. If the potting soil you choose is relatively hard and has poor water retention capacity, you can water it once a day. If the substrate is pond mud or other moisture-retaining substrate, you can choose to water it twice a week. If watering is improper, it can easily lead to root rot or black spots on the leaves.

Watering by season

Summer watering

In the summer, you must not water the plants in the sun or at noon. At that time, the temperature is too high and the sunlight is too strong. Not only will it not allow them to absorb water better, but it will cause them to become diseased.

Spring and Autumn Watering

In both seasons, you can water the plants around 10 am or 4 pm. The temperatures are similar at these two times, and these are also the times when plants like to absorb water the most. One thing you need to note is that when watering, try not to splash the water on the leaves, as this can easily cause the leaves to rot or discolor.

Winter Watering

In winter, you should pay more attention to the soil in the pot. If it is not very dry, try not to water it. If you water it improperly, it can easily cause frostbite to the entire plant, so you must be careful.
