How to grow Schefflera arborvitae on the balcony and what should be paid attention to

1. Lighting

It is a common plant and still needs sunlight to grow. Only by ensuring sufficient sunlight can it maintain normal growth. If it is kept in a dark place without light for a long time, its growth will become poor, the leaves will turn yellow, and its appearance will be greatly reduced. You can grow it on the balcony and give it light to promote plant growth, and the leaves will turn green. However, please note that it does not like direct sunlight. When growing it on the balcony, you must pay attention to shielding it. You can use a shade net.

2. Moisture Application

It likes a humid environment. If the soil in the pot is too dry and not watered for a long time, the roots will not be able to absorb water and the leaves will fall off. In general, you need to water the plant thoroughly when the soil is dry, usually once every three days or so. The climate is cold in winter and water evaporates slowly, so watering is needed once every half a month.

3. Apply fertilizer

During the maintenance process, fertilization is very necessary. Apply enough base fertilizer in the soil. Fertilizer should be applied regularly during the growth, once every half a month.

4. Temperature requirements

The suitable temperature for growth is around 10~30℃. In the hot summer, you should spray more water and ventilate the plant, and avoid frostbite in the winter.
