The fastest way to root rose cuttings

Rose cutting time

Rose cuttings can be carried out in spring and autumn, usually in February-March in spring and July-August in autumn. The survival rate of rose cuttings in these two time periods is relatively high.

Rose cuttings easy method

Rose cuttings can be divided into hydroponics and soil cultivation. When hydroponically cultivating, insert the branches into the foam and then put them in water. Do not immerse the leaves in water and wait for 7-10 days for them to take root. The soil cultivation method is to root the branches in a medium composed of vermiculite, immerse them in water in a tray, and then transplant them after the roots reach the bottom of the cup.

Rose cutting rooting method

1. Cut a branch from the rose plant, leaving only 1-2 leaves on the top, and cut the bottom of the branch diagonally. Then treat it with a rooting agent for 20-30 minutes and place it in a cool place to dry.

2. Prepare flower soil with good air permeability, insert the dried rose branches into the soil, water it once to moisten the soil, and finally place it in a place with scattered light and good ventilation. It will take root soon.

How long does it take to take root: The survival rate of rose cuttings is very high. Generally, it will grow new roots about a month after cuttings. However, you must master reasonable maintenance methods after cuttings so that rooting will take place faster.

How to judge rooting: If the rose cuttings can remain green for a long time without dehydration or wilting, they will grow roots after two weeks of careful care.

How often to water: After the rose cuttings are watered thoroughly once, they need to be sprayed with water every day to maintain sufficient moisture until new buds grow. Note that you should spray less and more frequently, and also maintain the moisture of the leaves without increasing the moisture of the substrate.

How long to see sunlight: After the rose cuttings are completed, first place it in a place with scattered light. Wait for it to successfully adapt to the pot after 10-15 days. Then the cuttings can gradually receive sunlight, which can allow it to grow better.
