How to grow white peony

How to grow white peony

1. Maintenance conditions

1. Soil: When breeding, you should use soil with good drainage ability. Breathable sandy soil is most suitable. Such soil is not only beneficial to the growth of the white peony roots, but also can better drain water. In addition, the pot should be changed every 3-4 years.

2. Light: The more the plant is grown in an environment with sufficient sunlight, the brighter the color of its leaves will be, and the temperature difference between day and night must be large enough. If the outdoor temperature is low, try to keep it outdoors as much as possible. Lack of sunlight will make the leaves more sparse.

3. Water: It is recommended that you water the plant once every 10 days or so. However, you should water the plant appropriately according to the area where you are located. There should not be stagnant water in the pot, otherwise the roots will rot.

4. Pruning: If you find dry leaves, old leaves or yellow leaves on the plant, you should prune it in time. During the growth period of the plant, it is also necessary to properly trim the top leaves, which will make the plant grow shorter and fuller, and its ornamental value will be higher.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Leaf cuttings: Cut a mature leaf from the mother plant and prepare moist sandy soil. The leaves should face up and the back of the leaves should face down. Place it in a cool place for about 10 days and small roots will grow. Then you can bury it in the soil.

2. Branch cuttings: Cut off a section of the top branch, dry the cut part, and trim off the leaves at the bottom. Then insert it into the soil and wait for 20 days for it to take root.
