How to water oleander

How to water oleander

1. Under what circumstances should you not water?

Often many experts will often say: If it is not dry, don’t water it. If you must water it, water it thoroughly. In fact, this sentence is easy to say, but difficult to do. The difficulty lies in how to do it and how to do it thoroughly. In fact, many bonsai trees are most likely to die from being drowned by water, and very few are killed by being dried out. When we are raising them, we like them too much and keep watering them, and then the disaster happens.

So how do you tell whether it is short of water? In fact, one is to look at it, and the other is to tap it. When the soil in the pot starts to turn white and cracks appear on the edge of the soil, it means it is dry and needs to be watered. If the soil in the pot is dark brown and has no cracks, it is moist. In addition, we can also pluck it with our fingers. If the sound is particularly crisp, then it should be watered. If the sound is turbid when plucking, then it is neither dry nor wet.

2. Different watering times in four seasons

Spring and autumn: In these two seasons, the temperature is relatively suitable, and this is the best time for its growth, so you should water it more. Watering is usually done in the morning or afternoon.

Summer: When summer comes, the temperature starts to rise, especially when it is hot. At this time, we should try to reduce watering, because it will enter a dormant state, so it does not need much water. In addition, it is best to water it in the morning and evening. The temperature is not high during these two times. Also, before the flowers bloom, you should water it less than usual.

Winter: With the arrival of winter, the temperature has slowly begun to drop and the amount of water needed has also begun to decrease. If the temperature is too low, it will enter a dormant state like in summer, so it is necessary to water it in smaller quantities. If you want to water it, you can't do it at any time. It's best to do it at noon. This ensures that the temperature is suitable and will not cause harm to it.
