What to do if Isuzu jade is cracked

What to do if Isuzu jade is cracked

1. Causes of cracking:

1. Watering:

Too much water will cause it to burst, too little will cause it to dry out and crack.

2. Lighting:

Has been exposed to the sun for a long time.

3. Temperature:

High or low temperatures are also a problem.

2. Solution:

Choose the right potting soil

Isuzu Jade is one of the more difficult succulent plants to grow. It likes sunny and dry places and can withstand very high temperatures. What it fears most is particularly damp pots and soil with poor drainage. So if we want to grow it well, we must first use a soil mixture of peat, vermiculite, and perlite, because it has very good air permeability and drainage.

For pots, it is best to choose a smaller one, and place it in a breathable and ventilated place for growth.

Reasonable lighting

We have said that Isuzu jade particularly likes the sun, but it cannot be exposed to the sun all the time, otherwise the surface will be burned. It only needs to be exposed to the sun for 5 hours a day. In spring, autumn and winter, it only needs 3 or 4 hours a day. If it does not get enough sunlight, its color will not look good, and it will not grow strong. After all, it is an ornamental plant. If it affects its appearance, it will lose its own value. The temperature should be kept between 15 and 30°C. If it is too high or too low, it will stop growing.

Scientific and rational watering

What is more important is watering, which is particularly difficult to master. Generally, we should not water it from the top, but should water it from the bottom, waiting for the water to penetrate into the soil. The water level should be two-thirds of the potting soil. When you find that its leaves are wilting, you should water it. In summer, you need to reduce the number of watering. If it rains, be sure to take it back indoors, because it cannot be exposed to the rain. Generally, the humidity is very high on rainy days, so there is no need to water it at this time. If there is heating at home, you can still water it in small amounts. In order to prevent the Isuzu jade from cracking or necrosis, we can apply appropriate fertilizers about 5 or 6 times a year, and do it together with watering. Just put about 10 compound fertilizers in the water.

3. Tips:

The weather in each place is very different, so you can choose the amount of watering according to the climate.
