How to grow Isuzu jade

How to grow Isuzu jade

1. Choice of soil and pots:

If you want to plant Isuzu Jade in a pot, the choice of soil and the size of the pot are particularly important. You can mix the soil yourself, mix some Akadama, pumice, orchid stone, and river sand together, and it is best to add some peat, which will help it absorb nutrients. The pot must not be too big or too deep, and the shape does not matter. Because the climate in the south is unstable and there are more rainy days, you can choose to use a ceramic pot.

2. Watering Methods

Isuzu Jade particularly likes sunny weather, and is most afraid of humidity and water accumulation at the roots, so if you don’t know how to water it, pay attention. In summer, you must not water it from the top, otherwise the Isuzu Jade will crack in the middle. You should water it from the roots, little by little, until the soil absorbs it, which will take about 15 seconds. When you find that its leaves begin to wrinkle, you must water it immediately. If you are really worried, you can remember the current watering time and water it in advance next time. There is no need to water it on rainy days because the humidity is high. As long as you are careful, bursting the pot is not a dream.

3. Lighting requirements

Isuzu jade particularly likes sunlight, so it must be kept in sunlight for about 5 hours a day, but it cannot be left in the sun all the time. High temperature will cause burns on the leaves. To prevent this from happening, when the sun is strong in summer, you can place it on a windowsill indoors where the sun is directly exposed. Just pay attention to ventilation. For the rest of the time, you can use the scattering method. If you are more particular, you can also use light at night so that its leaves will grow compactly.

4. Fertilization

The requirements are not high. Fertilizer can be applied once a month, but special fertilizer is needed. It can be done together with watering. The advantage is that the granular fertilizer can be melted in water and then directly watered for easy absorption by the soil. Don't apply too much fertilizer for the first time, for fear that it can't bear it and have a counterproductive effect. It can be defined according to its growth conditions.
