Greenhouse grape planting technology and management

Greenhouse grape planting technology and management

Grapes are a very popular fruit in the market. There are many varieties, high nutritional value, and a sweet and juicy taste. Many people love to eat them. The grape planting area in my country is becoming more and more extensive, but due to the influence of the natural environment, greenhouse grapes are also gradually being promoted.

Greenhouse grape planting time

It is best to start greenhouse grape cultivation in mid-September and end in October. This will allow them to bear fruit early and have a high survival rate. There is no need to acclimate the seedlings in spring, and the germination time is twenty days earlier than that of spring planting. Some can bloom and bear fruit in the same year.

Greenhouse grape planting technology

When planting greenhouse grapes, you need to choose varieties suitable for greenhouse cultivation, including Jingya, Jingxiu, Jingyou, Kyoho, etc. These varieties are high-yielding, high-temperature resistant, storage and transportation resistant, mature early, disease-resistant, and easy to manage. When cuttings, choose sturdy seedlings with more than 20 main and lateral roots, more than 15 cm long, more than 1 cm thick, and four to six full buds. The planting density varies depending on many conditions such as variety, site conditions, shaping method, seedling resources, etc.

Greenhouse grape management methods

Greenhouse grapes are planted at a high density and need proper pruning. After they survive, nitrogen fertilizer should be applied to promote seedling growth. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied in autumn, and foliar fertilizers should be applied at the same time. It is best to apply small amounts and multiple times. Base fertilizer should be supplemented in September. When encountering drought during the growing period, water more frequently. At the same time, pay attention to drainage in the rainy season, do a good job in disease and pest control, and control the temperature during the five stages of the growing period.
